Ark Performance’s popular manga series Arpeggio of Blue Steel depicts a future in which global warming and rising sea levels have swallowed up most of Earth’s landmass. A fleet of powerful warships then devastate the world’s naval forces. Known as the Fleet of Fog, each of these ships has has a humanoid avatar called a “Mental Model”.
